Corporate layoffs are affecting so many people and contracts expire. It is challenge to always be on the chase for a new client, and new project. However, I think what most professionals in the economy today are beginning to learn is..............the organized "Corporate Companies" are dwindling away. Flexibility of virtual employees and outsourcing has opened the door to less commitment to structured employees and more competition among the workforce. The smart professionals are taking the leap to say, "You will not limit me to a lean corporate ladder, and if you don't value me-- I will move on!" Large corporations invest thousands of dollars in training us each year to then force layoffs. I say, "Good for us". The skills can and will be used for the next endeavor we acquire and we plan to track it every step of the way on our blog. This is not about sharing company secrets, if the company is laying off what is there to share--the secrets are not working for them. It is about empowering the people to find value in what they do and people who can appreciate it!
